This notice covers the Moyu website and online Markdown editor. It explains what stays on your device and which actions make network requests.

Documents are processed in your browser

Editing, Markdown preview, math and diagram rendering, and Word and HTML generation happen in your current browser. PDF files are generated through browser printing. The current version has no server endpoint for receiving document text or files, and offers no accounts or cloud sync.

What is stored on your device

The editor uses browser localStorage to save multiple drafts, document names, the last active document, and your language, theme and content width preferences. These remain on the current device, in the current browser and editor origin.

You can clear this storage in your browser site data settings. Doing so removes drafts and preferences. Private browsing, cleanup tools or storage limits can also affect saving. Export backups of important documents.

When network requests occur

Advertising and analytics

The current version includes no advertising, third-party analytics or session replay scripts, and uses no advertising cookies. The public website and editor are deployed on separate origins to isolate local drafts.

Before introducing advertising or analytics on public pages, we will update this notice to identify the providers, purposes and applicable choices or consent mechanisms. The editor should not load advertising or session replay scripts.

Your choices

You can export Markdown backups, clear browser site data, remove remote images or stop using the service at any time. Moyu does not control the permissions of browser extensions or other software on your device.
